Works continue
It's been one year since the killing of Inaxio Uria and now the Basque Y construction enters the major activity stage.
80% of the high speed line between Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz is under construction works with the exception of the accesses to the two capital cities and two sections between Abadiño and Elorrio, which will soon be put out to tender.
In the case of Gipuzkoa's branch, by the end of the year at least four stretches will be under works and several sections will be put out to tender such as Bergara - Antzuola. The aim of the Department of Transport of the Basque Government is that 44 km of the section Bergara - Irun will be under construction works by the end of 2010.
