Development of the project in general

Nearly 24,000 Basque inhabitants concerned about Basque Y project

Information and customer service offices providing information about the New Basque Railway Network opened its doors three months ago. So far almost 24,000 Basque inhabitants have entered the three centres located in the three capitals of the Basque Autonomous Region.

According to Adif, which is the public business institution dependent on the Spanish Ministry of Public Works, 23,953 persons have visited the information and lobbies since early 2008.

In Bizkaia 10,370 is the number of visitors who attended the centres, whereas 10,120 persons sought information in Donostia-San Sebastián and 3,463 in the Vitoria-Gasteiz station.

Among the persons concerned, most are regular users and citizens really interested in everything related to the project.

Information centres opened last January 11th and serve customers from Monday to Friday in the morning and evening with the aim to explain citizens the works carried out by Adif (Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administrator) within the New Basque Railway Network.
