Ceremony marking the laying of the cornerstone on the Ezkio-Itsaso - Beasain section of the Basque Y rail link

It took place in the Salbatore neighbourhood, in the municipal district of Beasain with the Basque Government's Regional Minister for Housing, Public Works and Transport, Iñaki Arriola, presiding over the ceremony. Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister for Transport, Ernesto Gasco, the central Government delegate in the Basque Autonomous Community, Mikel Cabieces, and the mayor of Beasain, Patxi Plazaola. With the beginning of this construction work, there are now seven sections under construction in Gipuzkoa, 21 kilometres of the 76 that make up the branch.

Images taken at the excavation of the second Basque Y tunnel in Gipuzkoa, on the Beasain east section, seven months ahead of schedule. The event was headed by Iñaki Arriola, the Basque Government's Regional Minister for Housing, Public Works and Transport and also in attendance were the Deputy Minister for Transport, Ernesto Gasco, the central Government delegate in the Basque Autonomous Community, Mikel Cabieces, the mayor of Beasain, Patxi Plazaola, as well as managers from ETS, ADIF and construction and engineering companies.

Photographs taken at the excavation of the Ordizia - Itsasondo tunnel, the first to take place on the Gipuzkoan branch of the basque Y. The event was presided over by the Basque Government's Regional Minister for Housing, Public Works, Iñaki Arriola, and also in attendance were the central Government Delegate in the BAC, Mikel Cabieces and the mayors of Ordizia and Beasain, José Miguel Santamaría and Patxi Plazaola respectively, as well as management from ETS, ADIF, construction and engineering companies.
